Thank you for subscribing to Graphic Traffic News. This weekly(ish) update is designed for anyone who needs or wants to use images or videos in their work so that they or their organisation stand out.
I focus on new and existing tools, almost all of which are free or low cost, and often easy to use. So I hope you find these updates useful and practical.
My interest in this and the Graphic Traffic training course I developed years ago stems from running a website where I needed images to illustrate a wide variety of charity fundraising news stories. Yet for years few charities sent me images, so I had to get creative!

More age positive and diverse images
The Centre for Ageing Better is working with Independent Age to share new photos that show the diversity of people aged 50+.
The new collection, which has nearly 700 photos, “aims to improve depictions of older people with different life experiences”.
The photos illustrate the experiences of people who are often underrepresented – including those who live on low incomes, identify as LGBTQ+ or are aged 70 and above. The photos can be downloaded and used for free.
The collection also showcases later life across the UK, from Brighton to Manchester and beyond.
